This is a good book, I had to rent it for my econ class and have found it to be very helpful. Oatley doesn't really use difficult terms or language and tries to make everything as simple as possible. At times I have found the book to be one-sided so you should be careful of that, but I think it is a good book for beginners to economics. You should also be happy that your professor chose such an easy-to-understand book as your textbook.
My book came in very neat order. Did have some wear and tear, but not above what was explained in the description before I bought it. The inside was what really mattered and the book is wonderfully constructed in a format that makes note taking very easy. Only dislike was that some aspects the writer was obviously more interested in, making certain chapters very dull in comparison. Overall fantastic book
