This book, which provides information on markets, restaurants, specialty shops and other food-related places in New Jersey, is a fun and easy read. It also made me think about how traveling in Jersey is no easy matter. Although technically I could go to any of these places, it's very unlikely that I would go to most of them. There are so many complicated places to drive in Jersey that it's hard to explore the state, save along previously-known routes. Most of my friends are the same. So, for example, people go to the same town on the shore each summer rather than trying new ones.In this way, Genovese is like an explorer. He's going to all these places that most Jerseyans won't, if it's not near their regular or shore town.There are also some recipes and brief stories about items like pizza.
