There is so much danger and suspense I had to take a break just to get my heart to calm down. Kryssie Fortune certainly knows how to deliver a power packedparanormal story."Taken As Theirs", starts out strong and moves quickly.It's a wild ride and contains numerous twists and turns,good verses evil,vampires,demons,werewolves and humans.It contains delicious sex scenes,spankings,raw desire,drama,danger,suspense,one intelligent woman andsexy werewolf twins that will steal your heart.This story is set in the post apocalyptic time where Vampires,demons andwerewolves rule the world.Human women are sought after as breeders.Cassie is the star of the auction,she has lost her home,family and freedom.Terrified and vulnerable,Cassie is sold to the despicable Marco,her futureis grim.That is,until she is rescued by twins,Dane and Eli.Cassie should bescared of the twins but quickly has feelings for both of them.They takeher to their pack but things don't run smoothly.She is cast out beforeshe has a chance to claim the twins as hers.This story had a exciting build up and the pace and intensity continuedthroughout the book.There was a presence of foreboding and palpabletension from the first scene.An exciting read and I hope there will be aanother book to follow.
I borrowed this book with Kindle Unlimited and want to thank the author for allowing her work on the program.Vampires, werewolves, and demons have come out of hiding and pretty much rule the world since the human population was ravaged by sickness. Most of the females from all races cannot have children, so the few that can are fought over and bought/sold like commodities.I really enjoyed this unique apocalyptic story. The characters are fleshed out and given enough backstory that the reader can get a complete picture of the character. Even though the story starts in the middle of a situation, enough information is provided throughout the story to let the reader know how that situation came about. Some twists and turns, surprising allies, and unexpected foes keep the reader entertained and never knowing what is going to happen next. I am really looking forward to read Cassie's sisters stories, as well.
The story was classic girl meets boys. Boys save girl multiple times. Girl is insecure that she doesn't believe them when they basically tell her that she's their forever... Throw in some punishment spankings, some ginger root in the bum, and a jealous ex and there you have it.The problem with this book is that it was poorly written and needed proofread. My suggestion... Don't waste your time.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I can’t wait to get all of her other books. Werewolves, vampires, demons, spankings, and sizzling sex … the book is packed with action. The heroine is strong and clever, the heroes determined to keep her safe and love her forever. I very much look forward to the next book in the series. I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advanced reader copy.
I know a lot of hard work goes into writing a book so I try not to judge them to harshly because I know it would crush me if tried my hardest only to have someone spit on my hard work. But this book came off very amateur I guess is the best way I can explain it. I didn't really care for it I skimmed through most of the ending because it was very dull and boring. I also highlighted a couple minor errors that I picked up on. I really hope that wasn't too harsh but I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends to read.
Cassie is being sold at a vampire's auction. Afterwards, she is put in a cell, gagged and bond. Then she is looking at two werewolves in her cell. They throw a rope around her and throw her out the window. One wolf goes out, she goes next, and out goes the last one. They are going down the cliff and to a barge. This is the beginning of a lifetime of love and accepting. This is a beautiful love story for adults only, for sure. Loving all over the place.
This is the 1st book of Ms Fortune's that I have read, it won't be the last. This is a fantastic read and keeps you going to the end. Eli, Dane and Cassie's story is about survival, redemption, and finding love throughout it all. It has everything that you could ever want in a book; action, drama, and of course hot, hot romance. Can't wait for the stories of Cassie's sisters!
