Received my three books today - WOW!!! I loved reading the inspiring stories from a diverse group of women (a few stories from men as well) . This book can be used to spark 'life' conversations with your daughter or even a mentee. I specifically love the thought provoking questions that will require one to look within for an "honest" answer. Excited to share this book with the special young ladies in my life!!!
I bought this as a gift for my 16 year old niece and she absolutely loved it. Her 12 year old sister and I looked over the book together and they were so surprised by the insecurities many of the successful older women faced in their life. The book served as an excellent guide to discuss difficult and often times the same old topics in a fresh and engaging way.
This book is excellent for inspiring young girls and women alike. I bought this book for a few of my mentees, and I also turn to it for a boost in inspiration. We are all connected, and there's a lot of power in women, girls, and allies coming together to defy the odds.

What a wonderful, motivating, uplifting collection of stories and exercises for girls. The book gives girls the courage to be themselves by highlighting role models who have accomplished great things while remaining true to themselves. The organization and visual aesthetic of the book makes it feel like you are enjoying an interactive magazine versus hunkering down for a long read which is perfect for today's tweens and teens. My daughter's friend did not waste any time before jumping in and participating in the 'letter to yourself' exercises.Girls (and women) of all ages will enjoy this book. I'm enjoying reading it with my daughter and discussing the topics. It is now my go-to-gift for any tween/teenage girl.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough for young women and little girls. How many of us wish we had the wisdom that we have as adults when we were tweens and teens? In letters written to their younger selves, women of all ages share their experiences, thoughts, struggles and questions, and leave the reader inspired and hungry for more. I say this book is great for young women and girls, but it's wonderful for us older girls, too. We, as women, always learn from other women and here's a book that allows for some self-reflection and provides the motivation to live your best life. Who doesn't need or want that?
